What is it?
Nurse Specialists' general consensus of opinion & preference tends to be to have support belts or garment positioned over & across the stoma area and pouch.
This is generally considered to help provide an even distribution of support which having a 'hole cut' and the pouch 'outside' iminishes.
To enable this the modern CUI 2-way stretch fabric coupled with the design & fit of our belts allow the important balance between conformity, comfort & the support required.
The fulcionel fabric 'yields' and allows movement for normal pouch function to continue without the fear of pancaking & leaking.
It is also accepted however that there are also valid reasons why having a 'hole cut' option is still preferred or opted for…. and when this is the case our new 'Adjustable Hole Belt' provides the perfect solution.
This new innovative version of the 'CUI Support belt' has been designed to meet the needs of patients when there is no other option other than to have this 'hole cut'.
The stoma pouch is then situated outside the support but features incorporated ensure that this is not lessened too much in the process and it has been made easier to wear, manage and live with in the process.
With all the same features and benefits with standard Fulcionel Hernia Support Belt we have now developed a 'standard belt' available immediately with a 'pre-cut' hole that can be adjusted to fit around a wide range of stoma pouches and flange sizes.
Simply place the hole around the stoma site and then secure in place by way of a Velcro fastening to the right size of the pouch with an easy action….& without the need to feed the pouch through!.
Easier to put on, easier to access, easier to wear with comfort & confidence.
Internal 'horseshoe shaped' anti-slip pad secures the area around the pouch acting to gently reinforce any pressure lost by way of the 'hole' itself - without over accentuating this.
Left or Right sided belts available. (when Velcro fastening is situated under the pouch)
All belt sizes, depths & all 3 colours immediately available now as standard requests
